Mike is a well-known figure amongst the Staffordshire business community. In addition to being a partner at Dean Statham for 20 years, Mike has been Chief Executive of The Stafford Railway Building Society since 1993, and is also currently Treasurer of the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 
Susan Whiting (sjwhiting@deanstatham.com)

Susan joined Dean Statham in 1991 having qualified as a Chartered Accountant at a local office of an international accountancy firm. She became a member of the Institute of Taxation in 1992.

She set up and ran the office’s Corporate department which specialises in audit and company matters, prior to becoming a partner in 1998, and works with a wide range of clients.

Susan is also a director of Stafford Chamber of Commerce and Deputy Chief Executive of Stafford Railway Building Society.

 
Jeremy Hodgkiss (jhodgkiss@deanstatham.com)

Jeremy trained with Dean Statham before moving to KPMG in Stoke. Jeremy worked with a variety of clients providing audit and assurance advice before moving into a Corporate Finance Role. Jeremy has provided advice on various transactions including management buy-outs, company acquisitions/disposals, shareholder restructuring etc. Jeremy is the firm's Corporate Finance Partner.
 
Chris Mason

Chris is a Chartered Accountant who has been with the firm for many years. He has considerable experience in preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships and also supervises the completion and submission of both partnership and personal tax returns.

 
Gareth Jones

Gareth, who has been with the firm since 1988 qualifying as a Certified Accountant (A.C.C.A.) in August 2000, has held various roles in the firm giving him a wide range of experience. At present he manages a portfolio of small limited companies which utilises both his corporate and personal tax expertise. Gareth also has responsibility for the firms Trust and Estate clients entailing completion of annual accounts and tax returns and general assistance to trustees and executors. In his spare time Gareth plays rugby and is presently club captain of St Leonards R.U.F.C.

 
Anne Grant

Anne trained and qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor with Dean Statham and has been with the firm for over 25 years. She has worked with our estate and farming clients for a large part of that time and manages our medical and dental practitioner department.

 
David Dunsmore

David joined Dean Statham in 1995. He qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2002. David works mainly in the firm's corporate department and has a wide experience of many types of business, particularly owner-managed companies. He also undertakes solicitor accounts rules audits and further education college assignments.

 

Guy Davies

Guy joined Dean Statham in 1987 after gaining an agricultural degree at Reading University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. He is a manager in the Corporate department and specialises in charities and pension scheme audits. His portfolio also includes corporate farming enterprises and construction companies. Guy is a keen follower of Crewe Alex and is a member of Stone Round Table, he also enjoys swimming and a good work out in the Gym.

 
Peter Hawley

Peter joined Dean Statham in 1981. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1996. Peter heads up the firm's corporate department and has a wide experience of many types of business, particularly owner-managed companies. He also undertakes corporate finance assignments and is the firm's VAT specialist. For relaxation (?) Peter watches Stoke City where he is a long-standing season ticket holder as well as being an occasional (once or twice a year) golfer.
