Adam Wins Place on Dean Statham Graduate Training Programme

Dean Statham Chartered Accountants in Stafford has selected Adam Kay, 22, from Stafford to join their coveted three year Graduate Training Programme.

A maximum of two places are awarded each year and Dean Statham is one of only a handful of firms in the region that still recruit graduates, offering them the opportunity to train for their Chartered Accountancy qualification through a combination of block release coursework and practical work experience.

Adam, who sat four A levels at Weston Road High School before doing a degree in mathematics at Loughborough University, has settled in well to the corporate department and is enjoying visiting clients for audits. He says, ‘Dean Statham is a highly respected firm working across a range of specialist business and finance disciplines and I am getting exposure to each department as my contract moves forward. Everyone has been very welcoming and I already feel part of the team. My main aim is to become qualified and although I’m not looking too far into the future, I am ambitious.’

A former Dean Statham graduate trainee himself, Jeremy Hodgkiss is now Partner and proves that the sky is the limit for progress within the firm. ‘We are always interested to hear from bright, enthusiastic candidates looking to pursue professional qualifications while working as part of our team,’ he says. ‘We are committed to employing staff of the highest calibre and invest considerable time and money into giving each graduate the best start possible on the career ladder.’
